The Fluition API Edition is an easy to implement component library that allows you to integrate SMIL code construction into almost any application. Fluition API Edition is an ActiveX Dynamic Link Library (ActiveX DLL) that can be used in any application development environment that supports ActiveX controls. The Fluition DLL makes it easy to incorporate SMIL functionality into a vast array of rich-media applications. The Fluition API is the first SMIL API on the market and represents the progress SMIL is making as the standard for interactive streaming media presentations. "The Fluition API was developed due to the numerous requests for integrating SMIL functionality into customized applications relating to Streaming media, Interactive TV and DVD," states Steven Dryall, President and CTO of Confluent Technologies Inc.
